Spilsbury Mortuary named ‘Business Member of the Month’ for Hurricane Valley Chamber

HURRICANE — The Hurricane Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Spilsbury Mortuary as the July Business Member of the Month.

Spilsbury Mortuary is a family owned business, founded in 1939 by LeGrande Spilsbury. They have diligently served Southern Utah families for three generations. LeGrande Spilsbury’s son, Edward (Ted) Spilsbury serves as President, with Jody Spilsbury Snow currently running the day to day affairs. Their sole desire is (and has always been) to assist families in healing after loss, embracing all cultural and religious differences, regardless of means or position.

Spilsbury Mortuary is an active supporter of community efforts and events. They have been recognized by the St. George City Council as a supporter of military veterans and the brave men and women serving to protect our great nation. The Spilsbury Mortuary organization supports the Veteran’s Coalition as well as the Doctor’s Free Clinic annual banquet. They have participated in the Five County Fund Raising events and sponsored the ‘Celebration of Life’ remembrance event for Encompass Hospice. Staff members as well as Spilsbury directors’ serve tirelessly as hospice volunteers. Their dedication to the community has also included participation in new business ribbon cutting and re-dedication ceremonies along with membership on the chamber’s board of directors.

Spilsbury Mortuary’s first priority is to tenderly care for families and their loved ones with compassion and personalized care.

Spilsbury Mortuary’s main office is located in St. George, Utah at 110 S. Bluff St., with a satellite office located at 25 N. 2000 W. in Hurricane.
