A photographer frames a shot with a personal creative vision in mind. There are accompanying emotions and bursts of inspiration imprinted in the photo artist’s imagination in this instant. With enthusiasm bubbling away, photographers look at the results in their viewer or at home on the computer and often wonder where all the zing of the image went. Apparently, the camera did not quite share in the secrets of the original enthusiasm because the image now seen is flatter of duller than anticipated. There are a number of technical optical reasons for this original loss of zest which is lost in the digital image, but post-processing with Photoshop filters can bring much or all of that excitement back-and then some more!

Click Photography of St. George is hosting an evening Photoshop Filter workshop with Master Photoshop Guru, Jerry Jividen, on May 3. In this workshop, Jerry invites a lot of interaction with his audience by using your images that you bring on your USB stick for him to post-process step by step as he transforms it before your eyes and explains his use of filters and techniques to achieve that look.

Jerry Jividen will astound you with what you can pull out of your own photographs with Photoshop and he will show you using yours and others images at this May 3 workshop. Working with landscapes, portraits, or special events, he will show you ways to enhance your intended artistic expression. He likes to make people feel comfortable and has an enormous capacity to hang in there with anyone who has the hunger for creativity!

What resolution would work properly to show up in your large version and small thumbnail version of your announcements? The large version above is “squished” and the thumbnail is only partially seen.

    Thanks!
