AARP Utah ‘Real Possibilities’ event, how to keep your brain fit, other sessions

ST. GEORGE – AARP Utah is bringing its “Real Possibilities” University to St. George on Wednesday, Oct. 8, which will feature keynote speaker Dr. Kevin Duff of the University of Utah’s Brain Institute discussing how to keep your brain fit; distinguishing normal memory loss from possible signs of dementia, successful longevity and the brain, and recognizing changes in a loved one.

Following Dr. Duff will be a presentation on how to avoid becoming a victim of fraud from Keith Woodwell, Director of the Utah Securities Division, who will discuss financial scams and ways to protect against investment losses.

After these keynote presentations will be four different break-out sessions, all of which will be presented by local experts from St. George. They are:

  • Making Your Home Fit Your Needs
  • Active for Live
  • Eating Healthy
  • Living Trusts and Wills

Real Possibilities University is open to the public and is free, with a light meal included.
