FEATURE — On days when lines stretch from every restaurant door, traffic around St. George draws to a crawl and it seems like not another single tourist could fit on the streets of downtown, doesn’t it make you wonder “Where could all these people be staying?”
Tom and Travis of Linx Commercial Real Estate recently sat down with hotel guru Nick Ence and took a stroll with vacation rental businessman Duain Schallenberger to discuss where this new influx of tourism is coming from what new accommodations are available to all these visitors.

“doesn’t it make you wonder “Where could all these people be staying?”….Oh hell no, I look around and say to myself, when the hell are all these damn tourists leaving?…The greed machine only cares about the almighty buck, and nothing about this effect on our quality of lives as locals, I look forward to the next housing bubble and turn down in the economy, so that this crap will end for a few years and we can enjoy our lives here in southern Utah again….go to hell developers
We don’t need another hotel in this town, the local infrastructure and businesses cannot handle it! This only benefits the greedy developers at the expense of the locals, we cannot even go into town for a meal or Zion for a hike without ridiculous wait times. It was best when there were a few hotels in town which throttled the amount of visitors at a time to keep pace with everything else. This is bad for the community.
