ST. GEORGE — With 84 years of tradition in place, the annual Dixie Roundup is set to kick off Sept. 13.

The money raised at the Dixie Roundup is turned back into the community, said Joe Bowcutt, member of the Lions Club. One program the Lions Club actively supports is the Breast Cancer Awareness program at Intermountain Healthcare.

The Lions Club is proud to be celebrating 84 years of tradition at the rodeo, Bowcutt said.

“It’s a family tradition,” he said. “The good thing about it is not only is it a great sporting event, but it’s also a great social event.”
