What’s on the Menu: ‘Bout Time! Pub and Grub | Brought to you by Camping World

FEATURE — ‘Bout Time! Pub and Grub, which bills itself as “The Best Sports Bar in America,” is more than just a place to watch your favorite team play, although the 20 or so large flat-screen TVs do provide plenty of sports entertainment options, from football and mixed martial arts to badminton and poker.

“We want to be known as a place where you can come have a cocktail or two, two or three beers, have something to eat, and chill out,” says Darwin Harrington, owner and general manager of the ‘Bout Time St. George location, at 929 W. Sunset Blvd.

It’s ’bout time to follow Sheldon and Saffron as they prepare to go a few rounds in Episode 20 of “What’s on the Menu” in the player above.

The restaurant is one of a dozen such locations throughout Utah and Colorado.

‘Bout Time! prides itself on providing more than just typical bar food. Its menu items are prepared fresh daily, using never-frozen ingredients.

The Salmon Caesar Salad is a standout example of one of the many healthier options on the menu.

“The salmon is a six-ounce filet upon a bed of lettuce,” Harrington said, adding that the dressing is added to the lettuce by mixing it in a bag and shaking it twice. “What that does is coat the lettuce, but it doesn’t make it bogged down like you’ve seen at a lot of other restaurants.”

The ‘Bout Time! menu also includes a full range of appetizers, wings, sliders, nachos, tacos and other pub favorites, in addition to pizza, burgers and other sandwiches.

Complementing the food menu is a full range of beer, alcohol and other beverage options.

“We can literally make anything you want in an alcoholic drink,” Harrington says.

The article is correct that the food actually is quite good. The biggest area of improvement for them is service. It’s verrrry slow. So we’ve just learned not to go if we’re pressed for time. Also, they make possibly the worst martini I’ve ever had. 3 times we tried, thinking it’s a fluke, but it tastes like something that comes out of the toilet. So maybe try a beer instead. ?

You are right, their food is awesome, but service is slow. As far as a martini goes, good luck getting a good cocktail anywhere in this state, especially with the ounce counters on every bottle.

Maybe you don’t know what a Martini is, is just Gin and Dry Vermouth, they are supposed to taste like crap. Well unless you like the taste of Gin…..

Inconsistent. Sometimes really good. Sometimes the fries sat under a heat lamp a few hours. I agree about sticking to beer. I don’t think the Lord will allow a decent cocktail in Utah.

Service is needing much attention at this place! However, the food is good.
