News short: Fire damages Bunkerville home

ST. GEORGE — A fire damaged a home Monday morning in an unincorporated town outside of Mesquite, Nevada.

When firefighters from Mesquite Fire Department arrived at the blaze in Bunkerville on East 1st South Street, there was heavy smoke and flames coming out of the home, Mesquite Fire Chief Jayson Andrus said in a statement.

The fire was extinguished without incident, Andrus said, and there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation at the time of this report.

Firefighters from Bunkerville Fire Department and the Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire Department also responded to the scene.
