Anthony Wrobel, 42, allegedly killed a woman and critically injured a man at a company picnic for staff of The Venetian, a resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Police say Wrobel walked up to a table at the picnic and fired a gun, striking an executive and an employee of The Venetian at Sunset Park in Las Vegas Sunday evening.

Detectives are seeking assistance in locating Wrobel, who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 197 pounds.

Update April 18, 5:15 p.m. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced a $50,000 reward from Las Vegas Sands Corporation for information on Wrobel’s location. Mia Banks, vice president of casino operations for The Venetian, was also identified as the victim killed in the shooting.

The Mesquite Police Department retweeted the following request for public help in finding Wrobel from Las Vegas Police:

Lt. Ray Spencer, of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, said Wrobel is also an employee at The Venetian. His vehicle has since been located at McCarran International Airport.

Las Vegas police called the shooting a targeted act of workplace violence. A motive for the shooting is unclear at this time, but Capt. Robert Plummer, of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, said in a news conference Tuesday that it was not a random act of violence and he believes Wrobel was a disgruntled employee.

Banks was in her 50s when she was killed. Hector Rodriguez, executive director of table games, is in his 50s and is being treated for critical wounds at a local hospital.

In a statement, officials from the Las Vegas Sands Corporation said Banks was one of the “founding members” of the hotel and resort management company.

“Our hearts are with both families and everyone who has been affected by this senseless act of violence,” the statement from Las Vegas Sands Corporation reads.

If you have any information on Wrobel’s location, call the Las Vegas Police Department at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers of Nevada at 702-385-5555.
