ST. GEORGE — The time is now to tuck bulbs into your soil that will sprout color in the spring and while sticking them in the ground here and there can bring surprises, a bit of planning and care can make quite a difference. Saturday’s free workshop, “Bulbs by Design,” at the Tonaquint Nature Center aims to help you have success and pleasing results from this bulb-planting season.
The workshop, organized by the Washington County Water Conservancy District, brings back “The Plant Lady” Bonnie Pendleton. Pendleton will offer instruction and tips for landscape design, planting and care that will see your efforts through from bulb to bloom.
Pendleton has taught many workshops in the community on a variety of topics, including planning and planting cacti and succulents, herbs, trees and shrubs, and bulbs.
The workshop is free and begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tonaquint Nature Center, 1851 S. Dixie Drive, St. George. For more information on the workshop call 435-673-3617.
