ST. GEORGE – Javonjae Thomas and Robyn England, both of Las Vegas, were arrested Friday night in St. George for prostitution-related offenses.
“We believe they came to town from Las Vegas for prostitution purposes,” St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said, adding police believe Thomas was in charge of the operation.
“So our officers made contact with Miss England via social media, made arrangements and were able to determine (Thomas) was with her – that he actually brought her to the area for prostitution purposes,” Despain said.
Arrangements were made to meet England at an area hotel where she and Thomas were subsequently arrested.
England and Thomas were booked into the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility.
England was charged with a class B misdemeanor for sexual solicitation.
Thomas was charged with a third-degree felony for exploiting prostitution.
According to booking information, the two have since been released from custody after posting bail.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

does the state really wanna pay out to incarcerate these people? Best case scenario they skip bail and go back to the cesspool that is LV…
Alert the FBI. We have ourselves a violation of the Mann Act.
So far the arrest for prostitution in this area, that I have seen, have been black. Where are all the white prostitutes from vegas? Has anyone ever seen a Mexican prostitute?
Well that’s a good question…
maybe they only go after the ones with pimps in tow…
I think the black prostitutes and pimps come to St George hoping they’ll blend in with the community.
There’s probably a glut of AA prostitutes in vegas (probably not getting as much business as they’d like) and they realize they can come here and cash in on the desperation and sexual frustration of St. George’s white LDS men, or perhaps even non LDS for that matter…
