Dixie’s Adopt-a-Paws: Hurricane presents Hemingway, Marley, Wafer, ‘Pistol Triplets’

FEATURE — In the fourth episode of St. George News’ own “Dixie’s Adopt-a-Paws,” Liz Baxter heads over to the Hurricane City Animal Shelter, where she has some one-on-one time with Linda Melin and the shelter’s adorable animals.

This week, we showcase the energetic labrador/golden retriever mix Marley; the quiet and reserved chihuahua/dotson (or dachsund) mix Wafer; and adorable 2-month-old kittens “The Pistol Triplets”; and the unique “mitten kitten” Kiki, also known as a Hemingway – did you know Ernest Hemingway had an affinity for polydactyl, or multitoed, cats?

About Hurricane City Animal Shelter

The Hurricane City Animal Shelter accepts a wide variety of animals, from the expected dogs and cats to more exotic pets such as turtles, gerbils, birds and more. While the shelter can only accept animals from within Hurricane City limits, they open their arms to all those available animals in that area that may need help finding a home.

The shelter accepts volunteers. Anyone who might lend a hand (or paw) to help the shelter workers or who wants to visit the facility in hopes of finding their next animal companion are welcome to contact the shelter through its Facebook page, stopping by or giving them a call.

I am an animal lover but this dog in the screen shot looks, well, constipated. Guess I’ll have to look at the entire video.
