ST. GEORGE — A fire damaged a backyard shed Wednesday afternoon in The Mesas housing community, located between 1200 East and River Road in St. George.
The fire ignited in a plastic, portable storage shed in the backyard of a unit in the development. The origin of the fire is still under investigation.
The fire was quickly brought under control, St. George Fire Deputy Chief Kevin Taylor said.
The damage from the fire was minimal, he said, and firefighters had the fire out in about 5 minutes.
