WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. Mike Lee and Rep. Martha Roby, R-Al., will announce the introduction of the Working Families Flexibility Act at a news conference Wednesday in the Senate Press Gallery at the U.S. Capitol.
The Working Families Flexibility Act helps workers handle the constant challenge of work-life balance by allowing private-sector employers to offer individuals who work overtime the option to choose between monetary compensation or comp time.
As President Obama pushes for more top-down federal mandates in the workplace, the Working Families Flexibility Act highlights how a more realistic, conservative approach can help American workers.
The House previously passed Rep. Roby’s Working Families Flexibility Act in May 2013. A Senate companion bill was introduced by Sen. Lee but failed to receive consideration.
