1,000 sheep stomp down Cedar City Main Street; Videocast, Photo Gallery

CEDAR CITY – The highlight event of the Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival kicked off at 10 a.m. Saturday. Spectators gathered downtown to see the steam tractors, antique cars, wagons, and of course the anticipated herding of the sheep from Cedar Mountain down the historic sheep trail.

After the parade the sheep continued on to the Nelson Farm in Cedar Valley.

The parade celebrates a rich agricultural past, dating back over 150 years. The entertaining weekend festival provides participants with an intriguing look into the history which shapes the city.
