ST. GEORGE — Traffic was slowed Friday afternoon after two passenger cars collided at the intersection of 1100 North and Dixie Downs Road in St. George.
Just before 2 p.m., a woman driving a silver passenger car with a young child in the back seat was stopped at a stop sign on 1100 North, waiting to make a left turn onto Dixie Downs Road, St. George Police Officer Jared Carlson said.
At the same time, a woman in a gold car, also traveling with a child in the vehicle, was driving northbound on Dixie Downs Road in the left lane behind a flatbed pickup truck. As the woman in the gold car neared 1100 North, the silver car pulled into the road to make her left turn and the gold car T-boned the silver car, Carlson said.
Gold Cross Ambulance, the St. George Fire Department and St. George Police responded to the scene. St. George Police shut down the left lanes of travel northbound and southbound on Dixie Downs Road.
The woman driving the silver car was cited for failure to yield and no proof of insurance.
Both vehicles were towed.

WOW! This town is full of stupid!
It’s the koolaid they ‘re drinking which causes them not to think. Even when driving, it seems they require instructions on what to do, how to do it and when to do it. Without it, their driving isn’t so worthy. Could it be they are distracted by unnatural (and unworthy) thoughts on animals; horses, dogs, shooting cats? What’s up with these people?
