SANTA CLARA – Washington County Drug Task Force detectives arrested Bryan Player, of Santa Clara, Friday after conducting five controlled drug buys between the months of May and July, Capt. Kyle Whitehead said.
A controlled drug buy is where a member of the task force, or someone acting on behalf of the task force, purchases controlled substances from an individual. These controlled buys are documented by law enforcement and used in prosecution.
“In the case of Mr. Player,” Whitehead said, “he had sold methamphetamine and heroin to an undercover informant on five different occasions.”
When detectives arrived at his home and attempted to arrest Player, Whitehead said Player refused to cooperate with the detectives.
“He became non-compliant – he wasn’t physically assaulting the officers, but when they attempted to place him in cuffs, he pulled away,” Whitehead said. “Detectives were forced to take him to the ground where he tried to keep his hands underneath him, and refused to submit to the arrest.”
Detectives were finally able to subdue Player and take him into custody. He was transported to the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility where he was booked on five counts of manufacturing or producing a controlled substance, all second-degree felonies, and interfering with an arrest, a class-B misdemeanor.
According to booking information, Player’s bail is set at $51,000, and as this report is published, he remains in jail.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

I feel so much safer now this fella is in jail *cough*
You should feel safer, in spite of your sarcastic cough. You will be safer on the road without his customers driving under the influence. Your possessions will be safer without his customers burglarizing your house to get money for his product. Your kids will be safer from being sucked into being his customers. You and your family will be safer from his desperate customers searching for money or something they can sell to buy his drugs (for example, Geri Bommarito, RIP).
LOCK HIM UP FOREVER!
Would it be a stretch to say that this one probably didn’t serve a mission?
Probably not temple worthy either.
I just watched an episode of Drugs Inc on the National Geographic Channel entitled “Salt Lake Sinners”. One of the main drug dealers was a “Good Mormon Boy”. He said it was the best cover he could have. The police would never question him. The program also said that Utah has the highest prescription drug abuse in the nation and is fast approaching the highest heroin rate in the nation. The biggest shocker to me was 23 people a month overdose and die in Utah.
The point is, there are dirtbag drug users and pushers who are not mormon. There are dirtbag drug users and pusher who ARE MORMON. Good and bad in all groups people……
