SPRINGDALE – Bureau of Land Management fire crews are currently working a small wildfire near Springdale where Zion National Park meets BLM land.
Officially termed the Eagle Crags Fire, it currently covers 3 to 5 acres. According to information from Color Country Interagency Fire Center, the fire is going to cliff out, meaning it will run into a cliff and burn itself out.
Fire crews are also preparing smokejumpers to assist in knocking the fire down.
