ST. GEORGE – A residential fire early Tuesday morning destroyed a house and two vehicles and alarmed a neighborhood in Green Valley.
The garage of a home in the The Park, a neighborhood on South Valley View Drive in Green Valley, caught fire around 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
“Residents awoke to banging noises (and) multiple sirens,” eyewitness Greg Bartholomew said. “The home was engulfed in flames.”
The St. George Fire Department responded and immediately began to fight the flames, but were unable to save the majority of the structure and two vehicles, one of which was in the garage and the other in the driveway.
The house is likely a complete loss. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
